A Tall Barley Twist Cast Bronze Table Lamp.

Turn of 20th Century.

H: 69.5 Cm - The base 20.5 Cm wide across 2 of the opposing feet.

The lamp is heavy and weighs 3 Kg, and very solid.

Beautifully graduated and rippled barley twist column adds a dramatically rhythmic structure to the room. Its well-proportioned design makes a real architectural statement, cast from Bronze Its deeply stepped and flared hexagonal base that stands on six lions paw feet and is stable heavy and solid.
 
The bronze has a natural unpolished finish, the finish is deeply dark with hints of Verdigris. Overall, finely cast and finished.
 
Why we like- it simply has a kookiness about it, reminiscent of a gnarly tree root.
